Straightening The Path 5K

2026 5K pictures:

We welcome all to join us for our 2nd 5K run/walk fundraiser to help raise money and awareness in educating children, parents, and health-care providers about early detection. While also preventing major surgeries and improving lifestyles of the millions of people affected by scoliosis. All proceeds go to the National Scoliosis Foundation, a patient-led non-profit organization. Last summer we were able to raise over $21,000 to the National Scoliosis Foundation. Lets double it this year!

"I just want to thank you so much for everything you’ve done. I had a spinal fusion back in 2019 when I was 13 years old. I felt so alone. Seeing so many people with spinal fusion scars at the Straightening the Path 5k brought tears to my eyes. I felt such a sincere belonging with everyone. You are changing lives 🫶 Thank you!" -Jordan McNish

About Me

Why I wanted to start this 5K

In 2022, I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis, a life-changing moment that led to spinal fusion surgery and the hardest recovery of my life. Running again after months of pain and doubt reminded me of my strength and sparked the idea to start this 5K. I’m hosting this race to raise awareness, support others on this journey, and bring the community together to make a difference.
